“Can’t Recall” – by Kent Mayhew (1999)

Well I woke up this morning to the crack of Dawn
Guess when we crashed she had nothing on
Guess we were rockin’
You know I can’t recall
Yeah we musta been rockin’
We must have had a ball

Well the last thing I remember
I had my blue jeans on
I was playing guitar
She was writing my song
I popped a “G” string
She said “I ain’t got one on”
Well I guess that’s when we started rockin’
You know I can’t recall

Well, there were gloves on the floor
There was lipstick in bed
Woke with my hair like a rooster, my toes all red
“Cause we were rockin’
You know I can’t recall
You know we must have been a rockin’
We must have had a ball

Well, I guess I should have turned my Camcorder on
So I’d have something to remember of my youth when it’s gone
“Cause when I asked her
She said “ Honey, I thought you were tall”
She left me with a wrong number and
Two holes to spackle in my wall
